According to the latest press release from Kline, a global consulting and research firm, health and beauty products are no longer female dominated. Male health and beauty is on the rise and many are adopting skincare and beauty products at a rapid pace.
Both Covergirl and Maybelline have debuted their first male ambassadors for their makeup lines. On trend in the male health and beauty market is skin care. “The taboos are slowly dropping, and a growing number of men are using anti-aging serums and masks, beauty devices, and even makeup,” says Naira Aslanian, Kline report’s manager.
Part of the change is credited to millennial men following trends in looks and self care.
Male grooming took a dramatic shift with Dollar Shave Club becoming popular. Brands such as Dove Men+Care, Axe, and Degree have followed in their footsteps with more products and advertising designed for men.
Male Health and Beauty may just be the next big thing.
